A Safford Police Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of 20th Street at around 9:00pm, last Friday night, to investigate a domestic violence incident that occurred at the residence.|
A man who lives at the house told the Officer that his ex-girlfriend had come to his house that night to collect money from him.
The couple began to argue and the man asked the ex-girlfriend to leave.
The man closed the door and the woman began banging on the door trying to get back in.
The man stated that the woman then punched the front window of the house, causing it to break.
The man opened the door and told the Officer that he told his ex-girlfriend,
twice to leave his residence.
The woman again tried to push her way back into his house.
He tried to push her back out of the door and received scratches on his arm from pushing her outside.
The man was also recording the incident on his phone.
The woman told the Officer that they had been dating for about 7-months when they broke up.
The Officer arrested the woman for assault, disorderly conduct, trespassing, and criminal damage. She was placed in the patrol vehicle and was taken to the Graham County Jail and booked.
